Our Safety Protocols

COVID-19 and the NSO

Scroll Down

The NSO looks forward to welcoming our audience back this fall.

All COVID-19 guidelines issued by the State of New York and the CDC will be followed at all times.

Additionally, the orchestra will enact the following guidelines for musicians and our audience.

For Musicians

All musicians in the NSO are required to be vaccinated for the COVID-19 until further notice. Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 with a vaccine authorized by the World Health Organization of the Food and Drug Administration will be required to participate in any NSO rehearsals or performances.

The final dose of the vaccine must have been administered at least 14 days before your first interaction with the orchestra.

For the safety of all in the orchestra, we regret that we are unable to offer any exceptions for those who are not vaccinated due to disability, religious reasons, or age.

For Our Audience

All audience members attending NSO events will be required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 with a vaccine authorized by the World Health Organization or the Food and Drug Administration.

Additionally, all guests attending NSO events must maintain appropriate face coverings in accordance with current CDC guidelines at all times.

For the safety of our audience and musicians, we regret that we are unable to offer any exceptions for those who are not vaccinated.

The safety of our audience and musicians is our top priority. As such, our COVID-19 safety plan is subject to change as federal, state, and local recommendations evolve.
